Simon de la Porte, artist, musician and designer. After living in Paris for 20 years, where he was co-founder & co-publisher of JHON editions, he moved to Toulon in september 2017 to launch papiercamera.fr under the sunshine of the Côte d'Azur. He rediscovered the felt pen in early 2014, a medium that became an everyday drawing partner. He mostly draws landscapes as vibrant as a Fauve painting or an impressionist painting, taking a poetic look at the world as it is. The banality of everyday life is his central theme; classified ads from the web, highway sculptures, bus shelters in residential suburbs,... all domains that he explores.
